Someone advised me to start paragliding training in China and wanted to get a sense of how the certification process works, how strict the instructors and examiners can be and if the training is mostly theory heavy, or if they focus more on practical flying skills? I feel like its China and I can expect that exams there will be pretty intense, with a lot of focus on safety protocols and equipment checks
What'd you guys think about it?

Yees, training in China is usually pretty thorough, lots of focus on safety and gear checks. Most schools balance theory and flying, but youll get a good amount of hands on time. The exams can be tough though, especially the written stuff ofc, but it depends on the school. Have you picked a location or school yet??

The paragliding training in China is probably Chinese :)

Just kidding.

Now let's talk seriously. You plan to start training as a foreigner over there? With the training aside, I'd also check if there's some different rules and laws if you're not Chinese.
