it's my anxiety

I've been considering switching to a certified 2-liner for weekend XC, but I was warned about the constant trimming and how quickly performance changes after 40-50 hours. I've flown both C and D two-liners and found the differences barely matter. Hmm. So, what should I do now?

I've been there before! I switched to a certified 2-liner for cross-country flying, and about 50 hours in, things started to feel a bit off. It was like the trim had drifted, which totally messed with my handling and glide. Fortunately, a quick laser trim brought it all back to life. If you're okay with tweaking it every 40 to 50 hours, I'd say it's absolutely worth it. But if you'd rather avoid that kind of hassle, sticking with a sturdy 3-liner might save you some headaches while still giving you solid performance

Yeah, that's a common concern with 2-liners.
What @silentskysurfer said is like the general consensus.
The trim stability is something to consider and it really requires more frequent attention.
If you're finding the C and D 2-liners feel similar in practice, then perhaps the marginal gains in raw performance aren't outweighing the maintenance aspect for your weekend XC flying?
You might be happier sticking with a well-performing 3-liner that gives you more peace of mind and less time worrying about lines.
